In this 4-week course, students have fun while being introduced to a variety of interesting science topics. They will conduct a different lab experiment each week. All ages are welcome. (Time change requests welcomed.)
Students will learn science while having fun doing science experiments!
The students will learn about a variety of science topics. They will learn about an interesting science topic each week. The new concepts will be taught during the first 15 minutes of class. Following the introduction, the students will complete the science experiment. The students will be asked guiding questions while the experiment is under way. Different modes of instruction will be used. The students will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, and open-ended questions. The students require basic science knowledge (K-2). The second course, Cohort 2, will pick up where this course leaves off.
Parent Note: Although every effort is made to complete the labs during class, some students may not complete the entire experiment during class. If the students don't have the materials, a demonstration video will be played to show the experiment.
I am a 20-year licensed Instructor. I have been privileged to instruct thousands of students. 96% of my engaged students are successful on state assessments. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. Currently, In addition, I have a Master’s in Instructional Technology pending with a 4.00 GPA. I have taught all science courses from grade Kindergarten to post-graduate courses to include Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, AP Biology, Microbiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Physical Science, Environmental Science and many others.
